Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

Are you missing out on the most important thing in the Christian life?
According to Scriptures, worship is the most important thing we’re called to do as believers in Christ.
In our devotion today, I’d like to focus on one of the reasons why you should worship the Lord: Because it fortifies your faith.
Psalm 34:4-5 says, “I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”
When your faith needs a boost, look up! Praise, worship, singing spiritual songs, and expressing adoration to God all strengthen your faith and draw you nearer to Him.
Remember what our Scripture verse today tells us: God is “enthroned on the praises of Israel.” Wherever genuine praise is, so is God!
I am confident that taking your focus off of your troubles… and genuinely thanking God for what He has done in your life… will strengthen your faith and brighten your outlook on life!
TODAY, IN SPITE OF WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME OR WORK, FIND ONE THING FOR WHICH TO PRAISE THE LORD.

I think a lot of people associate only singing with worship. I found this quote from an old devo that says "Worship is giving yourself to God each step of the way, every day. It’s surrendering yourself to the Lord in every area of your life."
he goes on to say this -
"Can you truly say that you’re surrendered to the Lord in every area of your life? In your thought life? In your work life? In your family life?
It’s my prayer that you will learn what it means to become a dynamic worshiper of the Lord Jesus Christ by giving yourself as a living sacrifice. When you do, you will experience His power and His presence in your life each day."
That is my prayer as well.
Have a blessed day fellas,
cas
CAS, I agree with your first line. I also associate the worship with Sunday mornings inside a building... This devotion couldnt have been timed better.
Casting Crowns has a line in a song that says "I'll praise you in the storm". I need to do that today.
I echo the prayer above as well.
Go with God, today.
cas - like your point about total surrender - that concept has always struck me as profound and something i desire. in our bible study last night we read the statement by paul (phil 3: 10-11) which really hit me. Paul's unbelieveable desire to know God - "I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. "
