I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. --Psalm 52:8
A tree stands in the courtyard. Immovable. Unshakable. With roots deep in the rich earth, drawing strength, support, and sustenance.
An olive tree is evergreen. Always alive, always growing, limbs spreading and greenery flourishing. That was how David pictured himself as a child of God. The question of his place in the world had been settled. He would trust in God's love forever and ever.

The Psalm on Monday was good, so I say we stick with Psalms for another day.
Imagine being "unshakable" in your trust in God forever. I've never seen an olive tree nor been in the house of God, but this sounds good to me.

I'm wired for comfort. Taking it easy. But if I'm staying still I'm losing ground, especially in my faith.
My neighbors across the street are getting a divorce and the wife just moved out yesterday. Here's a great opportunity for me to reach out to Mike and his young twin daughters.
My prayer is I can keep growing each day starting even more today like the Olive Tree....
