For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by a stringed instrument.
1[a]O LORD, our Lord, the majesty of your name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
2
You have taught children and nursing infants
to give you praise.[b]
They silence your enemies
who were seeking revenge.
3
When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers--
the moon and the stars you have set in place--
4
what are mortals that you should think of us,
mere humans that you should care for us?[c]
5
For you made us only a little lower than God,[d]
and you crowned us with glory and honor.
6
You put us in charge of everything you made,
giving us authority over all things--
7
the sheep and the cattle
and all the wild animals,
8
the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,
and everything that swims the ocean currents.

We had a sermon this past Sunday on eating this book. Bottom line is that in our rushed lives we don't take time to meditate on what we read or just want to finish a chapter and do not stop and really think about what we are reading. Well here you go, what an amazing chapter. I could comment on so much, but the first and last verses sum it up.

Father change us. Help us all live in a way that brings honor and glory to You. Grow our group closer together and use this blog to help us fulfill Your cause.

Lord, You are a mighty God! You have set stars in place, yet You love me and already know the details of Your plan for me tomorrow. Not only have You created me, but You know me better than I know myself. It's too much for me to understand, yet I cannot question it. Teach me more. Amen.

I had the same comment as TRay. But what I just realized that is cool is that I am 700 miles away from TRay and even further from others of you. But this small piece of God's majesty is enjoyed by us all and under the command of our same God.
Lord - Indeed your glory is higher than the heavens. Help us to take a moment each day to enjoy the beauty and power of your creation. Thanks for hanging the moon for us to enjoy. In christ's name, Amen.
