Romans 12:9-13 (NLT)
9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection,[e] and take delight in honoring each other. 11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.[f] 12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. 13 When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.

I find this whole section interesting.Really love and take delight in honoring each other. Work enthusiastically!! Pretty high bar eh? Not saying it's wrong, completely contrary, but it is hard to live out all the time for sure.
This would have been a good passage to get on a Friday...I'm just sayin. JK
When my to-do list is longer than the human genome I'm definitely not in the mindset for the last line, " Always be eager to practice hospitality".
We will be over for dinner TRM and we are bringing the neighbors, all of them. See you at 5 pm
Beautiful thing about our God is that He gives us the resources to carryout his calling. I agree with you CAS that it is hard to live it out, I'll go one step farther and say it's impossible. But with God all things are possible! and that's who I have to lean on. Our youth pastor was speaking this sunday and said that God only requires that we come with a willing heart to the challenges he puts before us.
CAS, I wouldnt have 2 b hospitable 2 U, that's TOTALLY different...
a lot of stuff packed into a few sentences!
like this: Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.
just a great reminder to keep praying even when i dont see the answer immediately.
