A psalm of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush of the tribe of Benjamin.
1 I come to you for protection, O LORD my God. Save me from my persecutors--rescue me!
2 If you don't, they will maul me like a lion, tearing me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
3 O LORD my God, if I have done wrong or am guilty of injustice,
4 if I have betrayed a friend or plundered my enemy without cause,
5 then let my enemies capture me. Let them trample me into the ground. Let my honor be left in the dust.
Interlude 6 Arise, O LORD, in anger! Stand up against the fury of my enemies! Wake up, my God, and bring justice!
7 Gather the nations before you. Sit on your throne high above them.
8 The LORD passes judgment on the nations. Declare me righteous, O LORD, for I am innocent, O Most High!
9 End the wickedness of the ungodly, but help all those who obey you. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God.
10 God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right.
11 God is a judge who is perfectly fair. He is angry with the wicked every day.
12 If a person does not repent, God[a] will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow.
13 He will prepare his deadly weapons and ignite his flaming arrows.
14 The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies.
15 They dig a pit to trap others and then fall into it themselves.
16 They make trouble, but it backfires on them. They plan violence for others, but it falls on their own heads.
17 I will thank the LORD because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Psalm 7
What a mighty God we serve. A great God to have on our side. Our protector and the enemy of evil.
An interesting picture of God sharpening arrows and tightening bows.
Lord - Help me to remain on your side. Help my motives to be pure, and my ethics clean in a world where so few can be trusted. Help me Father to believe in your protection that I can have peace about my place and my career.
Be with our chldren as they head off to school today. Protect their minds and hearts.
In His name, Amen

Powerful words, hard to say, for sure. I know I'm not blameless, and that's the whole point of Christ coming to save us, but I think that's what we're striving for.
Father, watch over AAB, AJB, and ELB today, as well as these men, and help us to stay focused on You as we come back from this labor day weekend. In Jesus name,
Amen

enjoyed reading verse 10..."God is my shield..." . Really like the visual of seeing God standing in front of me deflecting pain, grief, illness, my enemies, satan, etc.
When i look at my life, i know i cant do it alone. Wow, it feels so warming to know that God is standing in front of me.
Lord, we praise you! You are amazing. i cant even begin to fathom all that you do for me/us. I try and understand you, but i cant. I try and love you but my dedication to you withers. even though i know you should be my focus, i lose sight of you. when times get busy, i displace you. Father, i need you in my life. I want to walk with you every day. Pull me Lord when i need it. I want to be faithful all of the time, not just when i need it. My love for you should be for you, not for me. Purify and strengthen my heart. Amen.
Timmcd, what an amazing prayer. Thank you for that, it certainly captured the way I fell sometimes, well really a lot of the time
